Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse is truly a treasure to eat at. The service is top notch as the wait staff brings skewers of food selections like filet mignon, sirloin, prime rib, juicy chicken, pork loin, leg of lamb and tender pork ribs as a sampling of the choices. The staff rotates the selections until you’ve had enough.

The salad bar is to die for.with over 25 items in the salad bar and you can have sushi and fresh fish if you so desire.

Rioz is great for anniversary celebrations, proposals, any group functions and is very popular among the thousands of golfers who invade Myrtle Beach yearly. Of course the locals love it too.

2. Captain George’s Seafood Buffet

Captain George’s Seafood Buffet is a top choice among the seafood buffets. All you can eat Alaskan Crab Legs, broiled salmon, fried oysters, deviled crab, steamed crawfish, mahi mahi, chicken, prime rib, barbecue ribs, corn on the cob, steamed veggies and the list goes on. Well over 100 items on the buffet spread.

Golfers love to frequent here and so do families vacationing along with the locals. As big as this place is, be prepared for a little wait time during the season. The food is always fresh as the large crowds keep the wait staff busy refilling the many food choices.

3. Sea Captain’s House

Sea Captain’s House in Myrtle Beach has best voted “Best of the Beach” year after year. Starting out as a simple cottage in 1930 to become a restaurant and then damaged by Hurricane Hazel in 1954, underwent several changes to the property and restaurant to become what it is today. With a dining view of the ocean, excellent service and food, The Sea Captain’s House has withstood the test of time.

Now more popular than ever. They are open 7 days a week and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner menu’s and their infamous buffet.

A very cozy atmosphere along with the ocean view keep them very busy. Ask for the daily specials and plan for some wait time during dinner hours year round. It’s worth the wait.

The Original Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood is located in the area called Restaurant Row on the far north end of Myrtle Beach. They boast a 170+ item buffet and has been serving vacationers and locals for over 30 years. You dine with a scenic view overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and for history enthusiasts, you can see the one of the world’s largest collections of nautical antiques, large scale ship models and mounted sea creatures. All of that and a fantastic buffet awaits you. Fresh Seafood, Crab Legs, a pasta and carving station. homemade soups, salad bar, deserts and more. Something for everyone.

The inside d├ęcor showcases several large ship models like the 18 ft. Queen Elizabeth II. All the ships are hand crafted and displayed throughout the restaurant.

6. Angelo’s Steak & Pasta

Angelo’s Steak & Pasta offers a fine pasta buffet as a stand alone meal or it can be combined with dinner entrees. The earlybird buffet is from 3:30-6 p.m. It might be a short time period but well worth it.

Lasagna, Spaghetti, Italian Sausage, Sliced Pizza, Tortellini Alfredo and Chicken Cacciatore is just a sampling of buffet choices. Don’t forget the salad and fresh dinner rolls.

China Buffet in Myrtle Beach has earned best of the beach awards at least 8 times. Open 7 days a week, year round, it’s a popular place among locals and returning vacationers. Located in the BiLo shopping center, just a half mile north of Broadway at the Beach.

Featuring over 120 buffet items, the selection is varied. During dinner hours, Crab Legs are available for a little extra. You can order from their menu for dine in or take out. If you have a chance, go online and get their online coupon.

8. Crabby Mike’s

Crabby Mikes is a classic seafood buffet in Surfside just south of Ocean Lakes Campground. You know you’re there if you see the huge orange crab on the Crabby Mike’s Van. A fun atmosphere, great wait staff, service with a smile and great food becomes another memorable experience in Myrtle Beach.

Large Alaskan Snow Crabs, Baked Salmon, Grilled Tuna, Seafood Casserole Surprise, Grilled Swordfish, Okra, Sweet Potato Casserole, Southern Fried Chicken, Shrimp Pasta Salad, Lobster Seafood Bisque, Cherry Cobbler, Cheesecake and sugar free deserts is just a sample of buffet choices. 9. Osaka Buffet

Osaka Buffet offers a buffet or entree menu for both Japanese and Chinese food. It’s located across from the Walmart in Myrtle Beach. Offering a great atmosphere with over 150 items of food selections available. In my visit, the staff was very attentive with a smile.

With a Hibachi offering Steak, Chicken, Shrimp, Scallop, Salmon and Veggies you will enjoy the ambiance and the food. They have many Sushi options including a Philly Roll, California Roll and Boston Roll to go with the egg rolls and what seems to be an endless amount of choices.

10. Golden Coral

With all the buffet restaurants along the Grand Strand, some just prefer what they know and I’m sure price plays into their dining choices. Golden Coral is the ultimate fall back for so many. There is never a slow moment with lines to enter seen daily.

With the chef grilling steak, chicken, ham and the food rotating constantly keeping all of it hot and fresh. It’s hard not to go through a few plates before getting to the desserts including the chocolate fountain.

Golden Coral is located in both Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
